With school budgets stretched thin, it takes a lot of extra funds to keep a band program going. Instruments, music, uniforms, transportation, clinicians, and other expenses are not covered by the amount of money allocated by the school system. Fundraising has always been a fact of life for band parents but in our current economic environment it becomes even more critical.
For these reasons the Boosters hold several major fundraisers per year, including the Christmas Tree & Wreath sale.
The band parents run the concession stand at football games and man concession booths at the Stuart Air Show in November. The band boosters also host sales of Great American products and Yankee Candles.
